dont get me wrong this game is really fun, if you like complcated style chess games. but they really have to fix this game crashing this at launch.

I Love this game but i absolutly hate that its crashing all the time i have to save every few moves since i dont know when it will crash again.

Love the game, it’s awesome when it works, but I hate being at the end of missions and it crashes. No fun. I’’m not only fighting alien bugs, but bugs in this game as well. Can I finish the mission before it crashes? That’s if it didn’t crash on startup. I’d rate it five stars if the bugs could be fixed. The game bugs, not sure i can handle the universe of alien bugs.

I find it a bit absurd that a program that costs $35 won’t run on a machine that far exceeds the minimum requirements. I’ve tried to contact product support and have tried to look for some help in the veleoper’s FAQs, but to no avail.

This is easily a five star game & worth the price. Unfortunately, its also extremely buggy. As in: I cant believe they shipped when the software was in this state. On an older iMac (3.2 GHz Core i3, 4GB ram), X-Com crashes at least once an hour. If it doesnt crash, the color scheme inverts, the graphics glitch, and the game becomes unplayable. Lowering the graphics requirements does nothing to help. Auto-save and Quick Save are your friend here. The technical issues are frustrating, but X-Com is such a fantastic game its worth putting up with that hassle. If you like stuff like Starcraft and Civilization, youll love this. Just know youll be looking at 2ks and Firaxis logos a lot as you start up again after a crash. One star for the crashes. Five stars for the actual game.

I am running on a 2013 Mac Book Pro Retina and the game runs great. This game is so addicting! Just beat the game the first time through and it has massive replay value. Going to try the expansion now.

The game is good and very addicting. It is also pretty buggy. Make sure to save often, periodically while out on a mission the game will just become totally unresponsive. Basically, you can still do some things, but all the buttons are frozen, so you cant actually proceed, and you will need to restart the mission. This happens on about 10% of all missions. Not enough to make the game unplayable, but certainly enough that it had to show up in their beta testing. Im docking them about 1.5 stars for such an obvious bug. This sort of quality is not acceptable. Other than that, the game is great. I also got the enemy within expansion pack. It worked pretty well for a while, but now it won’t recognize my mouse clicks, rendering the game completely dead. I have rebooted, etc… Not sure what happened, but game is now dead. Seems like a pretty major bug, hopefully it gets fixed. I’ll stand by my 3 star rating. The game is great, just buggy. Would be 5 stars without all the bugs.

This game has great potential and is deeply engaging… when it works. Please, spend some time improving the stability and optimization of this game for Mac. I know that we are not the largest portion of profits on an operating system basis, but no one forced you guys to port this game to our OS. People are paying for these games, just like anyone else, it should be patched and stabilized as if this portion of your market (and it’s income) is not totally unappreciated.

Could be great, if not for the bugs. One squad member clearly has the ring under them, you choose an action and another squad member moves. Smooth performance in the beginning, later missions become choppy. Video stops altogether doing some cut scenes.

Nothing but praise for the game. Its not the original game from the 90’s, but it clearly captures the spirit of the original and has a good chance of rebooting the TBS genre again. HIGHLY Addictive. There is an issue with the Downloadable content in game downloader. If upgrading to Enemy Within, you will download the entire content, and then the program will refuse to recognize anything has been downloaded and tell you “upgrades are availiable to download” putting you in an endless loop of downloads. I did contact Feral, and they quickly sent me links to fix the problem. So a "thumbs up" to their tech support. It is running fine as I type now. You will have to go through Feral for this though. Other than offering a refund, App Store was unable to help.

Bought this on ipad and now mac to play the Enemy Within content. If you’re on the fence, definitely get this. Never paid twice for a game before

So I absolutely loved the game until all the aliens attacked the base. It was really stupid because they make it impossible, you have very few soldiers, most are lowly ranked, and the numbers come out to be like 10 to 1. Its really annoying and stupid. So I don’t have a choice but to restart and that doesnt sound like any fun. If they took the attacking of the base or made it a lot easier then I would enjoy it way more!

I actully really love this game. It’s the only game I run on my MBPr and since updating to Yosemite, it crashes on start. It seems that this issue was discovered two months ago during Yosemite beta, which makes me suspect the developer has no interest in supporting this app on Yosemite, or it would have been tested. This app needs to be marked as INCOMPATIBLE with Yosemite, or removed from the App Store if it will not be maintained. I’m sorry for sounding harsh, but this is my favorite game, and being unable to play it with as OS that has been available for testing for MONTHS is quite frustrating. The errors are as follows: Sandbox registration failed: Process is not in an inherited sandbox. com.apple.xpc.launchd[1]: (com.apple.imfoundation.IMRemoteURLConnectionAgent) The _DirtyJetsamMemoryLimit key is not available on this platform.

…although given the lead time the developers have had on Yosemite, maybe not - completely fails to start since my Yosemite upgrade. Reinstalling from scratch (which apparently works for some people who have bought the Steam version) doesn’t make any difference. If anybody’s managed to get it to run under Yosemite, do tell!

Customer support didn’t help with game not loading

Do not buy until it is updated for Yosemite. This is one of the best games around (five stars), but it will not load on Yosemite.

Shame, an essencial game acording to Apple and isn’t working on the newest OS

its a good game, my only problem is the game kills my battery pretty quick.

Even after re-downloading game from APP store, game doesn’t launch. Icon shows up on Doc and then blinks away. Works on Macbook Pro with latest OS X operating system, but not sure why it will not on iMac (both 2 years old). Very frustrating.
