XCOM: Great, until I DL’d Enemy Within

I love this game. I played the old-school XCOM way back in the day, I bought the console release, and rebought this for my Mac. It’s replayable, it’s fun, and I’m super excited for XCOM 2.

That being said, I was really excited to download the Enemy within DLC, because I bought the console version before that came out. So it’s all new to me. Seems really cool.

Except it keeps crashing. Again and again. Initially, I couldn’t even open XCOM and get it to go to the initial main page. Crashed trying to open the game after I downloaded the new content. I’ve already beat this game on my Mac multiple times, and have had no issues prior. So then I finally got it to work, and it crashed just a few missions in, when I tried to use MELD upgrades in the genetics lab.

Clearly, these are all issues related to the new downloadable content.

I don’t know if anyone else is having these issues, but it’s made the game unplayable for me now, because I can’t even get it to open…and when I do, it crashes after just a few missions.

FIX THIS. This game is way too good to have simple screw ups like this. The DLC aside, I’d give this game 5 stars. With the DLC that essentially broke the entire game for me….1 star.
